Zeppelin Air Cleaner (super E / CV)

This air cleaner is designed to bolt on to Super E and CV carbs The outer cover is styled after the HD "j-slot" knucklehead air cleaners but it's been reduced to a 5in diameter and slimmed to only 1.25in thick. Machined out of 6061AL and polished to perfection. Features a washable high flow UNI air filter element. 

There are a few things to know about this Air Cleaner that will aid in years of enjoyable use.

1. The air cleaner cover is made out of 6061 aluminum and has a threaded post machined into the cover. This post is plenty strong to handle the normal abuse that the Air Cleaner might see, However this post can be twisted off if you really crank on the cover or if you use red threadlocker (loctite) on the threads. You do not need to gorilla grip the cover on. Plenty of people have run these units with out breaking them so we assume no responsibility for twisted off threads.

2. We do suggest using blue thread locker on the screws that mount the backing plate to the carb. Screws rattling out and going through your engine is not fun and is not our responsibility.

 3. If you choose to run this Air Cleaner on big inch engines over 80 cubic inch depending on your carb settings and altitude you might need to remove the UNI filter element to increase flow. Luckly this Air Cleaner breathes through the back and has a design that will deter major debris from entering the motor. If you choose to remove the filter element you are assuming any risk of damage that might occur to your motorcycle.
