Condenser Replacement
A replacement for traditional canister-style ignition condensers used with Harley points and magneto ignitions. I’ve also tested these successfully on various other points ignitions, including Yamaha, Kawasaki, and 6V Harley applications.
Current Version
The pink-wire V5.0 version uses a new anti-vibration design, is more water resistant, and is easier to mount in more applications.
Installation
- The condenser grounds through the mounting screw, so make sure the ground connection is clean and the screw is tight.
- Make sure the wire connection to the points is solid. Poor connections are the fastest way to kill one of these.
- Replace it just as you would a conventional points condenser.
Important
This is still a semi-experimental condenser and is sold without warranty or guarantee. There are too many variables in motorcycle wiring and ignition systems for me to guarantee it will work in every application. I’m still running the very first one in my own bike without an issue, and hundreds of customers have reported great results.
Not Included
Canister-style condenser and points plate/magneto shown in photos are for size reference only. Be conscious of locator bumps on some points plates when mounting.
